Serial numbers

Hello,
I like serial numbers and I think there sould be one field for s/n available (not mandatory) for each object like FC Controller, Network interface, hard disk and even RAM to allow me to trace what was installed where and when…..What is your opinion on that ?

You can write down serial numbers into the description field. It is also possible to search for it then.

It's what I do already, but as there is a s/n field for the server object and in the Network Interface I was curiuos why it is not everywhere….
