Installation Issues Using WAMP2

HI,
I am using I-Doit 0.9.8 & Windows XP(testing) for my server:-WampServer 2.0i
-Apache 2.2.11
-PHP 5.3.0
-MySQL 5.1.36
-Phpmyadmin- also installed ActivePerl 5.10.1 Build 1006
However, when i run the AutoConfig the screen changes to show OK to all configuration settings.
when I click NEXT the screen goes white and doesn't do anything else.
I have deleted the tables from the MySQL Database
deleted the config.inc.php file to re-install, but have the same effect.
could anybody help please?Also - the same effect when installed manually.

The apache needs write permissions to the i-doit directory, especially src/themes/default/templates_c and src/themes/redbox/templates_c
