Hello,
I have 2 HP 10500 switches installed in 2 datacenters, interconnected with 10 Gbps links and configured with the IRF technology (this is the equivalent to Cisco VSS, Virtual Switching System). The 2 switches are seen as one virtual switch with one name and one management IP address.
In i-doit, I have configured 2 switches with several interfaces and a number of ports. They are installed in different racks and in different locations.
I also have configured a "Stacking" with the 2 switches has members.
My problem is when I want to configure an "LACP trunks".
I could create a logical port on the 2 switches and use the "parent port" attribute to make a link between the 2 switches but this does not represent correctly the situation. I would have to choose one of the 2 switches to connect the trunk with the trunk on another switch. This is not correct, in the reality, the trunk is created in the virtual switch, not in one of the members.
What would be better is to be able to create a logical port on the stacking that is linked with physical ports on the member switches.
Is it possible to do that ?
Is there another way to modelise my situation ?
Thanks in advance
Didier
