Verständnisproblem Workflow

Hallo,
ich habe da vermutlich ein kleines Verständnisproblem mit dem Modul Workflow. Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, dann kann ich mir doch dort sog. Tasks anlegen, bei denen ich zu einem bestimmten Termin erinnert werde, daß hier etwas zu tun ist.
Konkretes Beispiel: ich möchte eingetragene Lizenzen so überwachen, daß zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt eine Erinnerung per e-Mail versandt wird. dazu habe ich mir einen Task mal angelegt und dem Admin zugeordnet. Wenn ich aber jetzt auf der Console mirmit dem Befehl 'Controller -v -m workflow' ansehen möchte, welche Workflows aktiv sind, dann sehe ich nur immer folgendes:./controller -v -m workflow
