object template not working properly.

Hi all,

Sorry for coming back again with an question.

So i managed to create an object under Infrastructure called "Docking station"
Under Administration - CMDB settings - Quick configuration wizard i adjusted the fields we need. I only added model, since i need the model + the serial number etc.

Then when i go back to infrastructure - docking stations - new drop down object from template i fill everything in like the picture.

It created al of them

But they are not showing in the list, it shows only 0

But in the field My last changed objects on the frontpage, it is created.

Tried to compare this template with the one i had created before for our clients.
Because the Client (laptop) template works fine.

this one not, any ideas why?

What happens when you open LUX-DS031 from the report?
Is an object displayed?
if yes: Is the expected object-type displayed in the breadcrump bar?
if yes: can you list the objects in object list (maybe counter in object tree is broken)

Did you check the condition (normal, archive)? Sometimes this is "remembered" between tabs.

Do you have any validation on Model > serial number. Maybe this kicks in after the creation.

It increased within the objects from 90 to 130 objects so its adding them.
But to answer your question, when you press on one the created docking station objects in "My last changed objects"

you get the normal list to see without the model part i dont know why

because when you go to the wizard i added the model part to it.

i just checked, and they are showing but weird.

Hello all,

i have managed somehow to get a template working, so it shows now finally the counting in the infrastructure list.

And within the docking stations, i can enter the model number, serial number etc.
But it shows me not how it does with other ones.

At other objects, it does not show the ID. how can i change this?

and the second thing is.

here it shows only the first part of the object. and the rest i need to press on the "model" and then can i edit.

But with other objects, all things are in one huge list underneath each other. how to fix this?

Hi

I assume the first issue had something to do with permissions:
Administration > Authorization Systems > Rights > CMDB
Maybe some permissions are "hard coded" to object types/categories and not to "All".

For the second issue:
Go to Object type configuration and look for "Overview page as standard view"

Thank you it worked, the overview page put to YES works fine.

But how to remove the id ? because that is still showing.
