Verwendung von Checkboxen in Dokumenten

Guten Tag,
ich würde gerne in Dokumenten eine Checkbox verwenden:
Die Checkbox habe ich im Quelltext eingefügt. Wenn ich das Dokument als HTML erzeuge,
erscheint die Checkbox inkl. Funktionalität.
Beim Öffnen als pdf fehlt jedoch die Checkbox komplett.
Es würde schon ausreichen, wenn in der pdf-Datei ein Quadrat (ohne Funktionalität) ausgegeben würde. Gibt es hierfür eine Lösung?
