warum macht Ihr nicht folgendes:
Ihr ruft vom php ein Perl-Programm auf, dass über DBI mit der Datenbank kommuniziert. Da DBI
ein generisches Interface ist, habt ihr da keinen Stress. Wenn Ihr mod-perl nehmt, wird auch der Perl Interpreter nur einmal geladen und läuft im Server-Kontext. Das dürfte nicht viel Last erzeugen.JeanLuc

Bzgl. der Datenbankabstraktion werden wir erstmal auf native PHP Bibliotheken (mySQL & postgreSQL) setzen als auf ein Interface wie DBI. Wenn wir dennoch sowas mal implementieren sollten, dann mit ADODB:

Das schaut gut aus. Ich komm halt aus der Systemtechnik/Rechenzentrum und da geht viel mit Perl. Ausserdem läufts auch ohne Webserver.
