I can create a socket/power outlet without any error. When I go back to the socket none of the information for socket type, fuse name, fuse type, or ampere have been saved?

Power Objects
Can the number and types of power supplies/connections be specified on a server?
Can Vertical CDUs be added to a rack and the side of the rack they are on specified? We have dual CDU's in all. Both CDU's are on one side of the rack and all cable runs in on the other side.
Can total power available be specified for the enclosures/racks?Power object types:
Power Supplier - Power out only? like a main building feed or a feed into a UPS?
Power distributer - is this for devices like a room PDU ( like a PDI wave star) and rack CDUs?
Fuse box ? - should this be changed to Circuit breaker panel? Can entries be made for breaker amp/volt, single pole/2 pole and 3 pole breakers, Phase A/B/C
Add generator and building feed?
Socket - can multiple sockets be added at once, like for a CDU with (18) IEC 60320/C13 and (6) IEC 60320/C19 outlets
Specify Phase/Bank on a CDU for outletsThanks for the work on this application. I can't remember where I came across a reference to it but I am supprised that there is not more activity in the english section

PCI card templates
Would it be possible to a template for PCI cards? We have a variety of NICs (single/dual/quad port) and HBA (single and dual port) adpters. The cards then could be added as an "interface" template

RE: Cabling documentation
This would be great. Most of our data centers have a patch panel in server/device rows the run to a sister patch panel in a network row. Most of your device connections are "device" to row patch panel port to newtwork row patch panel port to "switch" slot/port.

Capacity planning
Is anyone using i-doit for capacity planning in a data center? Most good tools like APC capacity manager, itracs and Avocent Infrastructure Explorer run from $50,000 to $200,000 US for about 100 racks once you start adding up all the licences needed. I have recently installed:
-
Rack Monkey - http://flux.org.uk/projects/rackmonkey/ It is is pretty simple but it looks like only one developer and very light on features[[/li]
-
RackTables - http://racktables.org/ - more developers (still not many) and more features than Rack Monkey. Can use SNMP to pull some data like switch ports[[/li]
i-doit seems to have many more features and a much nicer gui/presentation. I have just installed on Centos 5.4 and I am starting to add devices, locations … but I have not found any way to report on capacity relating to power or free RU
Can reports be run to show available RU in a rack, room, building or total?
Can i-doit use snmp to pull data from devices like switches or managed CDUs (cabinet power distribution)The workflow is something I am very interested in as it looks like it would make tracking facility MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) easy to follow.

English documentation
Has anyone translated the documentation into English? I have been using http://babelfish.yahoo.com to translate the German manual, it's OK but if someone has already translated that would be great. Thanks
