RE: Unable to open ticket in i-doit support portal! (Issue in object searching)
Hello Martin,
Thank you for your comments. I'll keep in mind updating i-doit to the current release, since that's precisely in my to-do list.
Still, it worries me that I'm still unable to open a ticket. When I go to https://help.i-doit.com/hc/en-us and click on Sign In nothing happens; I tried this with Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer on two different computers, and got the same outcome. Could you please forward this issue to support? Is there another way to contact support in the meantime?
Most appreciated!

Unable to open ticket in i-doit support portal! (Issue in object searching)
Hello,
We are unable to open a ticket in the support portal (https://help.i-doit.com/hc/en-us), since clicking on the Sign-In link doesn't open up a login window. I'm not sure if this is a wide-spread issue, but I would like to request assistance to the i-doit team via this channel.
We currently have i-doit Pro 1.10 (deployed on CentOS) with 1000 objects. We created a custom object type and the proceeded to create several objects of that type:
The thing is, when we try to do a search using the "Title" filter, a Warning message appears:
Afterwards, if I hit Enter (or if I click on the Search button), an error message appears:
Of course, the error message prevents the search results from being seen.
I can confirm that this only occurs with the "Title" filter (and not with the other filters that are available through the columns as seen in image 1).
Please let me know how should I proceed, and if you need any additional information. If there's an alternate way to create a support ticket, also let me know.
Thank you in advance for your kind assistance!
Best regards,
Camilo Delgado

Change i-doit database passwords
Hello,
We made an initial deployment of i-doit for testing purposes and now we wish to use the same virtual machine for our internal environment in order to support some of our customers.
We want to use a more robust password for both database users ('root' and 'idoit'), since the one we configured for testing purposes is way too weak. But we are having problems with that.
So far, we have tried changing the users' passwords directly in the database (following the steps in https://www.tecmint.com/change-mysql-mariadb-root-password/) and then changing the 'idoit' user password in the src/config.inc.php file in the installation path of i-doit. After these changes, we enter the i-doit Admin Center and the access is all broken up, with messages stating that the 'idoit' user is not authorized to access the database.
Could you give us pointers on how we should proceed to change the database users' passwords? Our virtual machine has i-doit 1.9.2 running on Debian 8.9 and MariaDB v15.1 (Distrib. 10.0.30).
Thank you very much in advance. Let me know if you need any additional information from my end.
Best regards,
Camilo Delgado

Need help with an i-doit purchase!
Hello,
I work at an IT security company and we became very interested in i-doit, since it would aid us in supporting some of our customers. It's simple to use and has lots of features!
Although we're interested in buying it, we are very concerned with the time taken by the Sales process. We sent an e-mail to the Sales team one week ago requesting a quote and asking some specific questions, and we haven't had any response yet. From that time we sent two additional followup e-mails, and still no answer. I also called your main office phone this morning and no one from the Sales team was available.
I know this isn't the regular contact channel for these issues, but I honestly don't see much choice now. Could you please contact me with the Sales team? See below my original request.
Thank you!
-Camilo Delgado
–--------------------
We kindly request your assistance. We're interested in quote # Q-100801 (attached in this e-mail), but we wish to include an additional add-on module: Change Management RfC.
In addition, we would like to change the main contact to whom the quote was generated - Instead of me (Camilo Delgado) it should read Jhonny Oramas, since he's the CEO of the company I work for (IT Security Services) and he will be the one signing the quote. By the way, all our other info (billing and delivery address) stay the same.
Could you send us quote # Q-100801 with the Change Management RfC add-on and with Jhonny Oramas as the main contact?
Also, I have the following questions:
- Is there any documentation of Change Management RfC in english? I have found it in german so far.
- How does object packages combining work? For example: If we start with 1,000 objects and wish to upgrade to 5,000, then we will shift from paying 320 euros to 660 euros, right?
- Another example: If we start with 1,000 objects and purchase an additional 1,000 object package, we would end up paying 640 euros, but it would be much more convenient to simply upgrade to a 5,000 object package and pay 660 euros. Am I right?
- If we wish to add an additional add-on anytime after the i-doit purchase, how would the purchase process be?
